SVITECH FOUNDATION was established in 2023 by Vivek G. Shelar and Rajani G. Kulaye, inspired by the vision of creating a positive impact in the lives of the less fortunate. Our journey began by interacting with communities in Ghatkopar West, Mumbai, to understand their challenges. Despite living in the financial capital of India, many marginalized communities struggled to access basic public services.
We realized the importance of incorporating the Foundation as a nonprofit company under the Companies Act of 2013, allowing us more flexibility to scale operations and leverage multiple financial instruments. The word ‘Svitech’ represents ‘social venture initiative for technology, education, and community happiness.’
